32nd Annual American Crossword Puzzle Tournament
(ACPT) finished yesterday, March 1. Tyler Hinman emerged as the winner
for a fifth consecutive time!
The Tournament has been held from February 27 through March 1 in
Marriott Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn, NY. Since the "Wordplay" movie
(2006), the Tournament has grown so much it had to be moved from the
Marriott in Stamford, Conn., its home for 30 years, to its new host
location in Brooklyn for the second year in a row.
The Tournament is directed by Will Shortz and is the nation's oldest
and largest crossword competition. The contestants are given to solve
eight original crosswords.
33rd Annual American Crossword Puzzle Tournament will be held February
26-February 28, 2010, in Brooklyn Bridge Marriott, Brooklyn, NY.
