Five official Rubik's Cube competitions will be
held on January 30, 2010 in different parts of the world.
Berkeley Winter 2010 - run by a team of
cubers from the Berkeley, Caltech, and Stanford Cube Clubs.
Competitors should bring their own cubes to compete with.
International competitors should bring a valid passport. Costs for
competitors: $6 base, plus $2 per additional event ($1 from each entry
will go to the WCA). Public spectators are always welcome. Location:
145 Dwinelle Hall, UC Berkeley. Events will start at 9:30am of local
time with the registration.
Washington DC 2010 - since the number of
participants has already reached ~70 the registration is shut down.
Location: Kings Park Library, 9000 Burke Lake Rd, Burke, VA, 22015.
Events will start at 9:00am of local time.
Melbourne Summer Open 2010 - the registration
has closed already. This is Australia's first official
WCA competition. Entry is FREE for
spectators, family and friends to come along and watch the action.
Location: RMIT University, University Function Room (8.02.08) Street
Level, Building 8, 360 Swanston Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. Events
will start at 9:30am of local time.
Toronto Open, Winter 2010 - online
registration ($10) closed on January 27, 2010. But it is still
possible to register in the morning of the competition day upon
arrival. Though the price will be $15. Location: Seneca College's
Residence and Conference Centre, 1750 Finch Ave. East, Toronto,
Ontario, Canada M2J 2X5. Events will start at 9:00am of local time
with the registration between 9:00 and 9:30.
Jakarta Open 2010 - the registration is
closed on the 20th of December 2009. Participants registering after
the 20th will be put under the waiting list. Location: FX Mall, Jl.
Jenderal Sudirman, Pintu Satu Senayan, Jakarta 10270. Events will
start at 9:00am with an hour of the registration. Competition will
last for two days - January 30-31.
All competitions comply with
WCA regulations. |
