The earliest known version of this puzzle
appeared more than two hundred years ago in a German toy company's
catalogue of 1803.
This puzzle consists of five pairs of pieces each of which can be
obtained from cutting a square from the middle point of one side to
one of the two opposite corners.
The object of the puzzle is to assemble the shapes shown in the
illustration on the left, using all the eight pieces for each of them.
After that try to create some other shapes on your own.
Click one of the shapes in the leftmost column and it will be zoomed
in into the center of the scene.
Move the pieces dragging them, rotate the pieces clicking them. Use
the Restart button each time you want to return to the initial
position of the pieces for the respective shape. |
